Large rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, adequate cleanliness, fairly close to the city, quiet surroundings. There was also a swimming pool in the complex, which unfortunately we did not use, although it looked fine. A week after we left, a great fire engulfed the park and with it the town of Jasper. If I read correctly on the internet, this part of the city has remained untouched, which makes me happy, and thank God there were no human casualties. I sympathize with everyone who lost a home or business in the fire. The town was full of nice people who welcomed us kindly and I am sorry that the restaurant where we ate so well has burned down. I hope that the consequences of the fire will be eliminated soon, so that life will return to normal.

When we arrived we had a problem with our credit card and had to spend time making phone calls to solve the issue. The reception member of staff - Serg (hope I have spelt that correctly) was very helpful and understanding. Serg had a lot of local knowledge and recommended visiting the Pyramid Lake before we left the next day. Each time we passed reception he would offer to help and even arranged for extra towels to be sent to our room, which arrived within 10 minutes. The swimming pool and hot tub were lovely and clean. Towels are provided for all guests.

This clean and affordable hotel was an excellent value in Jasper. Walking distance to downtown, but not in the clutter of downtown. Spotless room and comfy beds. Right next door is a Starbucks and an amazing restaurant called Evil Dave's, which was my favorite dining experience in Jasper [much nicer and a better price than the highly overrated Terra, which was my worst dining experience in Canada during my recent trip]. The pool and hot tubs were a welcome sight after roaming around the mountains. I highly recommend this hotel in Jasper.

The room although facing the main road and train line was quiet. It was fascinating to watch the 100/200 carriage goods train slowly pass on the way to Vancouver or Edmonton. The position was great and easy walk down the main street to grocery market and restaurants. Staff were excellent and able to supply paper bowls and plates and plastic cutlery for in room breakfast. WiFi was good and easy to log on The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean.

Lynne

From checking in at the front desk with Kenneth, who was personable and helpful. The room was fresh smelling, clean, crisp sheets on very comfortable mattresses, nicely arranged, comfortable barrel chairs around a conveniently accessible table, in front of a window that let in lots of light. The bathroom was spotless, huge two person glassed in shower, large towels for after shower use. We enjoyed our peaceful, quiet time at the Marmot.
